When you call Heavy Hitt for fuel delivery, we ask three things: where are you, what kind of fuel does the vehicle take (87 octane, 91 octane, or diesel — we serve passenger diesel like the older Jetta TDI and small diesel pickups), and how safe is your current location. From there we dispatch the closest tech with a clean, UL-approved fuel transfer container. We deliver enough fuel to get you to the nearest open station — typically 2–5 gallons — at the actual pump price, not at some inflated 'roadside fuel' markup.

Modern vehicles complicate fuel delivery. Many newer cars have flap-style anti-siphon necks that only accept the round pump nozzle at a gas station, not a standard transfer-can spout. Our techs carry the right funnels and adapters to deliver fuel cleanly into those necks without spilling or triggering check-engine codes from a misseated fuel cap or vapor system intrusion. Diesel customers — please be sure on the phone that the vehicle is diesel; misfueling is a serious repair, and we will double-check before pouring.

EVs don't run out of 'fuel,' but EVs do run out of charge. We're a tow company, not a mobile charging service — if your EV is dead, the right call is usually a tow to your home or to the nearest fast charger. Mention EV when you call and we'll dispatch the right truck and skip the fuel-delivery confusion.

Pricing is flat dispatch plus fuel at cost. The dispatcher quotes the dispatch fee on the phone, and the fuel itself is whatever the station nearest us is charging — no markup, no 'convenience' surcharge. This is one of the most honest categories of roadside work and it's also where some companies pad the most; we don't.

Safety matters here as much as anywhere. Fuel deliveries on freeway shoulders get cones, triangles, and a proper work zone. If your car is in a spot where transferring fuel safely isn't possible — middle lane, blind curve — we'll push or tow it to a safe spot before pouring. Our techs do not pour fuel anywhere a spark, idling truck, or pedestrian could create a hazard.
